Xiaofei Li has been working as a Pathologist at MUMC+ since November 2017. His main areas of interest are cardiovascular pathology, dermatopathology obduction pathology and head and neck pathology. He participates in several MDOs. In addition, he participates in the supervision of assistant physicians and teaches medical students.

About

Education
Xiaofei Li studied medicine from 1993-1998 at Faculty of Medicine, the Harbin Medical University, China. In 1998, he passed the Chinese medical examination. From 2001-2007, he continued his studies at the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In 2007, he passed the Dutch medical exam. Between 2007 and 2011, he conducted PhD research at the Department of Cardiology and the Department of Pathology, Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam and in 2014, he defended his thesis entitled as "Unsuccessful plaque healing and the acute coronary syndromes, a paradigm shift." From 2012 to 2017, he was in training at the Department of Pathology, Academic Medical Center, University of Amsterdam.

PhD research
Between 2007 and 2011, he conducted PhD research at the Department of Cardiology and the Department of Pathology, Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam and in 2014, he defended his thesis entitled as "Unsuccessful plaque healing and the acute coronary syndromes, a paradigm shift."

Work experience

Since November 2017, Xiaofei Li has been working as a staff member in the department of pathology at MUMC+.
