Sebastiaan holds a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology and a MSc in Cardiovascular Research from King’s College London, London, UK. He recently completed his MSc research project at the Academic Department of Vascular Surgery, St Thomas’ Hospital, School of Cardiovascular Medicine & Sciences, King’s College London, London, UK. He worked on cell products to promote angiogenesis for patients with critical limb ischaemia. In October 2020, Sebastiaan started his PhD in the Experimental Vascular Pathology group under supervision of Prof. AH Baker, Dr. BME Mees, and Prof. JC Sluimer. He works on the role of vessel resident mesenchymal populations in atherosclerosis and vascular ageing.
